Encounter DC Pastoral Care

Encounter DC Students

God is so good and gracious toward us! He is always working to transform us and set us free so that we can experience greater intimacy with Him and be his light to those around us. As God continues to work in our life, it’s likely that we will experience areas in our lives where we need healing and possibly deliverance. This is actually quite common and is nothing to be ashamed of, but rather a time to thank God for his desire to bring deeper healing and peace into your life.

We want you to know that we have a Pastoral Care Team available for you. This team can help you discern what may be going on and to provide you a means for help and support.

How do you know if you might need inner healing, deliverance, or some other form of help? Some signs are listed below:

  • Fear and anxiety
  • Doubt
  • Self-condemnation
  • Restlessness, agitation
  • Lack of self-control
  • Inability to receive God’s love
  • Aversion to the scriptures, Eucharist, etc.

If you are experiencing any of the above, or anything else that leads you to believe you need help in discerning a way forward, please contact our Pastoral Care Team. You can do so by filling out the form below, and we’ll get back to you as soon as possible.

Google Meet Help

Though some inner healing sessions may be in person, most are typically held by virtual meeting using Google Meet. Once a meeting is scheduled, all participants (the one seeking inner healing and two team members) will be sent an email with the date/time of the meeting as well as a link to the meeting.

It would be helpful to click on the link at least 1 day before the meeting to test your device to make sure your camera and microphone are set to work with Google Meet. Launching Google Meet, you will see buttons at the bottom to control you microphone and phone. If they are not turned on, you can turn them on there. However, if your system settings have these off, you will need to go into your system settings to turn them on. Below are some resources to help you know how to do that. If you cannot seem to get it working on a computer, consider using a cell phone, it is more likely that your phone will have these turned on.

If you are using a windows computer and your camera or microphone are not working, watch this video for help:
