The Summer Intensive is an incredible value, so much so that many of you enrolled in the Encounter School after your Summer Intensive experience. The discounts are wonderful and we offer them to help as many as possible come to the event. But the real reason to come is the value, the fruit that can be born in the lives of those you invite.

To help communicate this, we’ve setup a page with testimonies from students as well as information about the event and the speakers to better communicate the value that the Summer Intensive offers.

This is more of a general promotional email you can use to reach other Catholics you’ve met but who are not close friends or family.

Promo Programs for Students & Alumni (2023, 2024, 2025)

How to get in Free:

Students and Alumni receive a 100% off coupon code when someone they referred purchases a 4-day Single/Couple ticket (does not apply to a one-day or two-day ticket).

To get this discount: Ask a friend to come with you to Summer Intensive. When your friend registers, ask them to put your name in the referral line of the eventbrite page. ESM Summer Intensive Team will email you the discount code to register yourself for free. 

Refer-a-Friend Promotion:

Students and Alumni may refer up to 5 friends to Encounter DC. These 5 friends will receive a coupon code worth 50% off the Regular Registration rate for a 4-day Single/Couple ticket (does not apply to a one-day or two-day ticket).

To get this discount: Fill in this Refer-a-Friend Form with your friends’ email address. ESM Summer Intensive Team will send the discount code to your friends. 

Ambassador Program:

Anyone registered for the Summer Intensive will automatically receive an Ambassador referral code to share with their friends. The referral code allows Ambassadors to receive a $20 credit on the cost of their registration fees for each person they refer who uses their referral code/link to purchase a Single/Couple 4 day ticket to the Summer Intensive. This credit can accumulate with each person they refer, up to the cost they paid for their ticket. Ambassadors receive the refunds after the Summer Intensive wraps up. 

To get this discount: After one registers, they can send their referral code/link in any correspondence with others they are inviting to the Summer Intensive. The invitee then simply needs to enter the code in the Ambassador Code field when they register to get the credit (if the registrants link was clicked on to get someone to the registration page, the field should automatically be filled with their code). 

How to Help before and at the Summer Intensive

Volunteer to be a Summer Intensive Champion

Champions are eager to share the Encounter Program with their local parish. Ask your Pastor to allow the Summer Intensive to be published in the parish bulletin or in Flocknote. Champions can reach out to their parishes to ask if Encounter DC can bring a student to offer a brief testimony after Mass. Coaching and resources for getting a conversation started is provided. Volunteer at the Summer Intensive

Our exciting program is action packed! Each day is filled to the brim with activity and there is a place for everyone who wants to serve. We need help setting up hospitality, accepting registrations, passing out materials, collecting testimonies, and greeting newcomers.
