Consent Form
Before any Inner Healing session can commence, it is important for the party seeking inner healing to have signed the Informed Consent form. This is to ensure that the parties know what the session is about, and what to expect or not expect. Please download this form, sign it and send it to Don James: don@encounterschooldc.org
Email Confirmation of Meeting
If an Inner Healing Session has been scheduled for you, you will receive an email with the details of the meeting including: (a) the names of the two people from the Inner Healing Team who will meet with you; (b) the date and time; and (c) the link (url) to the meeting (if the meeting is virtual) or the physical location if you are meeting in person.
Inner Healing Venue
In Person:
If you are meeting in person for your Inner Healing Session, you will likely meet in a room at:
Goshen House at 20501 Goshen Rd, Gaithersburg, MD 20886.
This is the white building that you’ll come to when you turn left after driving into the driveway for the Mother of God campus. Typically, the session would be in the room immediately to the left when you walk through the front doors (opposite the staircase).
Virtual Via Google Meet:
In most cases, sessions will be held virtually via Google Meet. This is to accommodate many on our team who live a good distance away and have limited time.
Google Meet Help
TIP 1: To avoid any delays or glitches in your Google Meet virtual meeting, please click the link to the meeting (at least a few days before the meeting) to pull up Google Meet and make sure your camera and microphone are working with Google Meet. If one or both are not, please watch the videos (appropriate for the device you will use) below that can walk you through how you can get the camera and mic working.
TIP 2: If trying to fix the problem as the videos describe did not get them working, consider using a different device. For example, if you could not get the mic or camera to work on a laptop, consider trying to use your phone. In most cases, a phone will work, unless you’ve changed a setting to prevent them from doing so. If you are using a desktop that doesn’t have a camera or web cam, please try using your phone: it is important that those in the meeting can see each other as we all communicate with our faces/bodies as well as our voice.

Generic Macbook Camera Fix:
If using an Android phone or tablet and your camera is not working, follow these steps:
If you are using an iPhone and have problems with your camera working on the Google Meet app, please watch this video to see how you might be able to fix this. This is likely a permissions issue. The app shown on the video is not Google Meet, but the process should be similar – insteach of opening the app shown, you’d open the Google Meet app. If you don’t have that app, you should be able to download it from the Apple app store. You should also be able to open it directly from a browser as well, so you may be able to change permissions from that browser app to allow the camera to work if you are using a browser for the Meeting.
If you are using an Apple iPad and your camera or microphone are not working, watch this video for help. It assumes you already have the Google Meet (Meet) app installed on your device. If you don’t, please download it from the Apple app store:
